when you hear somebody talking about one of your interests
Photographer Donna Dotan created these dazzling, symmetrical images by photographing the reflections in Manhattan skyscrapers.
In a recent interview, Donna wrote, “I’d always thought that New York City had already been photographed from every point of view. But the beauty of photography is that there’s always a new perspective to be discovered.”

Hallo dear Anon!
First of all, thanks for your kind message and for your patience in waiting for the reply: alas, as usual work doesn’t leave me as much free time as I’d like, and as the number of questions in my askbox would require… so, apologies for the delay and thanks for introducing this intriguing topic.
Yes, I completely agree with you: almost all we know about Sherlock Holmes - with the sole exception of what he himself tells us in the only two stories narrated in first person, BLAN and LION - is filtered through Watson’s perspective, so that most of our image of Holmes is the image of Holmes that was in Watson’s mind. And, as we all know, not being a race of telepathics, none of us can see another person exactly as they see themselves, or know precisely what has crossed or is crossing their minds, nor remember the same fact as they remember it… Watson is no exception to this general rule.
With modern Sherlock, though, things are at least partly different.
